This project, located in Vinings, GA, came with a simple request - to update the family room (untouched in almost 20 years) with a sophisticated, cozy look. From there, it was designer’s choice. “We stripped the existing wallpaper and brought in a fresh pattern. Painted all of the woodwork, replaced the fan, updated the recessed can lights, added an outdoor-quality rug and a new sofa with clean lines. We touched every bit of the room.”
“The club chairs got a fabric update, adding a feminine element to the room’s strong point of view and honoring the clients love for chinoiserie. The built-in cabinet, after a fresh coat of paint, got new brass hardware. One lamp new, and the other with a simple shade replacement - I like to mix new items with long-adored pieces.”
