LAYERED MASTER

A master bedroom should be an escape. Jessica chose the Turkish rug as a jumping off point for this room’s palette, sweeping the light blues and grays throughout the space. The effect is serene. New lighting was a priority, foregoing a weathered look for an elevated but informal chandelier nested in the vaulted ceiling.

Jessica’s blueprint for a finished look on a king bed is “3 euros, a pair of 21” squares, and 1 kidney pillow.” And don’t forget the karate chop! Elegant bedside chests and masculine bronze, along with the more feminine chandelier, affirm that this is a room for both. Master bedrooms can sometimes be overwhelmed with one style or the other, but it’s important that two voices are heard.
